a day at young explorers

dropping off and collecting children

Please ensure when you are dropping off and collecting a child an educator has been informed. At the centre entrance there is a register, your child must be signed in and out as this is a legal requirement and our safety check list.

We will only release the child to a parent or person stated in writing on the enrolment form. If you are unable to collect your child you must notify the centre. The person collecting your child must be at least 18 years of age, have photo identification and you must have authorized the person with centre management either by phone or in writing.

daily tasks

At Young Explorers we try to encourage children to develop their self-help skills and be independent. When you arrive with your child in the morning, encourage them to carry their own bag in and put it away.

If your child has perishable food items these need to be named and placed on the tray on the kitchen bench for refridgeration. Please ensure your child's bag is big enough to easily fit all of their belongings.

healthy eating

At Young Explorers we supply morning and afternoon tea, we promote healthy eating and encourage parents to provide lunchboxes that are full of healthy options.
