Children do not need to bring a drink bottle as filtered water is readily accessible.

Parents are required to bring clearly named bottles for children who are on formula, whole milk or expressed breast milk. If your child is on formula, please provide a daily supply of made up bottles. If you are breast feeding, we are able to accommodate the needs of you and your child and provide a quiet area where this can take place.

clothing

Ensure that your child is dressed in clothes that allow them to explore, get messy, muddy, wet and have fun!!! At Young Explorers we will be out exploring every day of the year so ensure your child is dressed for the elements - hats, gumboots, raincoats etc. Each child needs to bring at least two full changes of clothes. All clothes must be named.

nappies and toileting

Please provide sufficient disposable nappies for your child's day at the centre. Each child in nappies will have a basket in the change area, we recommend you name all nappies and regularly check when more are needed. The centre will use unscented wipes, however should your child need specific wipes or creams please name these, inform an educator and place in the child's basket.

We like to provide as much continuity from home to the centre as possible. Continuity is essential when embarking on the toilet training process. Centre educators will only begin toilet training once it has begun at home and a discussion has taken place between educators and parents as to the process they are using. Please ensure you send in several pairs of underpants, shorts and trousers for children making the transition from nappies to toileting.
